Czech out these slippers – free knitting pattern

close slipperAfter about a year of not quite getting around to it, I have finally put up a pattern for the slippers that my sister in law’s family give to guests when they stay as it is polite to remove your shoes when you visit.

I had thought that it was a tradition for the whole country, and have jut been informed by my brother that it’s just a lovely thing that Michelle’s family do.  Nevertheless, they are a quick and easy slipper to have by the front door for friends and family who come to stay on a cooler evening/day to keep their toes toasty warm.   They are not non-slip, so you’ll have to warn your friends to be careful if they are running around!

Duding pocket for Tiger Jumper

DSC_0090My first crocheted garment, I have just made a Tiger Hoodie for my youngest. I was very please with it as it crocheted up very quickly in the aran yarn and keeps my girlie nice and warm. We felt that it was missing one thing though, a duding pocket.    The pattern is in my Knitting and Crochet patterns pages:  Duding Pocket

New Year, New Hat

Now Christmas is over, and 60th and 65th birthday celebrations for my woolfolks, I can crack on with the knitting again!

What I really wanted to be making tonight was a tiger hoodie for my youngest, but the wool hasn’t come yet.  What has come is the wool for my hubby’s hat, so I have started that tonight whilst watching Inspector Clouseau in a Shot in the Dark!  Only got the ribbing done, but will crack on with the cabling tomorrow and hopefully put the pattern on here soon!  I’ve got some lovely wool that came super quick, so am very happy (thanks Loveknitting).   I don’t normally buy Debbie Bliss wool, but this Donegal Luxury Tweed Aran is lovely to knit with, and just the colours that Wil wanted!

All quiet on the western front

As with all my methods or diarising (blogging or journalling) I often go in fits and spurts, separated by lengths of time of nothing-ness.  Well, needs must, and this year when I had told myself that I wasn’t going to do any knitting, I had to change my plans and knit something for my lovely sister for a present.    I hope that you enjoy my snood knitting pattern: https://jammymummy.wordpress.com/about/tucked-in-snood-or-cowl-if-you-are-from-the-other-side-of-the-pond/

My blog has had over 12 000 views!

That’s basically it, I just thought it deserved a woohoo!  And since I started it 18 months ago, people have clicked on it from 79 countries in the world.

That and I’m on google now…. oh, have I already mentioned that.

Thanks to all of you who have had a look.
