Duding pocket for Tiger Hoodie

I’ve just made a Tiger hoodie for my littlest, but felt that the pattern, although AMAZING, was lacking a pocket.  This one is for the aged 5 – 7 years pattern and does the job very well for my girlie!

Aran yarn in main colour – orange

Chain 28

Row 1    Htr into 2nd ch from hook, htr to the end, turn (26 st)

Row 2 – 7  Ch 2, htr to end, turn

DSC_0090Row 8 – 14  Ch 2, htr2tog (yarn over hook = yoh, insert hook in next stitch, yoh and draw through a loop (three loops on hook),yoh, insert hook in next stitch, yoh and draw through a loop, (5 loops on hook), yoh and draw through all 5 loops on hook.), htr to last 3 st, htr2tog, htr, turn (12sts)

Tie off

Pop pocket on front where you want it, and back stitch along top, straight sides of side and bottom.
